Where the Mountains meet the sea, Fig Tree Park is situated in a spectacular elevated position overlooking the panoramic view of the ocean, Barunguba (Montague Island), Gulaga and Mt Najanuka (Little Dromedary) and only 2 minutes drive to the secluded white sand beach. Far from the madding crowd yet so close to conveniences, 5 minutes drive to the historic town of Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba, 5 minutes drive to Mystery Bay, 10 minutes from Narooma and 15 minutes drive to Bermagui.

Elopement, micro-weddings and weddings for up to 100 guests
Whether you envision an intimate gathering or a grand celebration our fully serviced wedding venue is designed to bring your vision to life. We welcome elopements, micro-weddings and larger weddings. We offer beautiful spaces for your outdoor ceremony and reception. The homestead, the chic marquee and pavilion overlooking Najanuka, Gulaga and the ocean provides stunning wet weather options.
Fig Tree Park has all the infrastructure for cocktail or seated weddings and we set this up for you. Our friendly professional team go to great lengths to look after all your needs with catering, flowers, styling and bar.

If you are thinking of Eloping we offer you your own private venue, chef and accommodation whilst giving you the utmost privacy. Be married overlooking the ocean, under the Fig Tree, in the rose garden or on the manicured lawn. Choose where you have your celebration lunch or dinner; outdoors, in the dining room or in your private Seaside Cottage.
The Seaside Cottage, House and Garden
The romantic seaside cottage, country house and garden are beautifully designed to take full advantage of the stunning views of the the ocean. Nestled in lush green hills, surrounded by established trees, rose gardens, vine covered arbours which are lovingly protected by the landscape, the house and cottage are private and offer every comfort you need.
This perfect setting offers you and your bridal party a place to stay, get dressed in leisure in the bridal room in the homestead in comfort and luxury whilst enjoying the garden, rural, and sea views from every window. We offer you the private and romantic seaside cottage with spectacular views of the sea, for your wedding night and you can stay longer if you wish.
For your guests
There is an abundance of accommodation for your guests on the neighbouring properties surrounding us, suiting all tastes, ranging from bed and breakfast, private rooms, villas, luxury suits, self-contained houses, tiny houses, glamping and camping. On the adjacent property there is 2 cottages for the groomsman, walking distance from Fig Tree Park! A stone throw away, 5 minutes drive at the most. We can connect you with accommodation for at least 100 guests in Central Tilba alone and Tilba Tilba as well as Narooma and Bermagui. We collaborate with the accommodation operators who take care and look after your guests.
Your guests have the option of self-driving, (there is plenty of parking at Fig Tree Park), taxi or to make it easier you can hire a bus to pick up and drop off from the local accommodation. We can connect you with the bus company.
Accommodation for your wedding night and for longer if you wish
As part of the venue price we give you your own private self-contained, romantic cottage with spectacular views of the ocean for 2 nights. Fully equipped so that you do not have to bring, or worry about a thing. Curl up together after the excitement of your wedding day. Sleep in or meander down to the secluded beach for an early morning walk or swim. Please see accommodation page.

About your hosts:
Sarah and Mike moved to the South Coast of NSW in April 2022 after dreaming of living on a farm of lush green hills overlooking the sea.
They worked hard to transform Fig Tree Park into a unique and magical wedding venue and retreat. Sarah, from a farming background, an artist (painter), a relationship, life and wellness coach and Mike an artisan renderer and straw bale home builder, both with a passion for good food, previously built luxury accommodation and hosted couples retreats.
“When we first stood on the front lawn overlooking the expanse of sea, we were mesmerised by the beauty and nourishing energy of the landscape. Having already been doing Love Mastery Retreats for couples for many years, it all made sense to create romantic accomodation and a magical venue for people to marry and gather.
We are also passionate about sustainable farming and paddock-to-plate freshness. With the area’s rich "Gulaga Gold" soil, we have created a sustainable environment for our happy animals. We harvest olives and citrus annually, and our vegetable garden produces an abundance of herbs and produce. We also raise Angus cattle, meat lambs, and a variety of poultry. We love being able to share this culinary experience.
Since living here we have learned that Fig Tree Park holds unique and rich geological and spiritual significance. For the Yuin people, the traditional people of this land, Tilba Tilba means many waters and Gulaga is the sacred mother mountain of creation. Fig Tree Park is a place of fertility and abundance with an endless supply of crystal clear spring water it sits in a triangle between three distinct landforms representing mother and her children, Nanjanuka and Baranguba.
The sacred creation story says Gulaga (the mother mountain) looks over and protects her eldest son Baranguba who went exploring to find his independence and crossed the sea and turned to rock, also known as Montague Island. She keeps her youngest son Najanuka close to her. The valleys and the slopes of the mountain have historically been used as birthing and a ceremonial place for women. The surrounding lakes and waterways are deeply connected to these traditional practises.
We very much acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Yuin people and pay our greatest respects to Elders past, present, and future. We endeavor to care for this country as it cares for us.
Four years and many beautiful weddings later, we still feel incredibly grateful to wake up every morning in this paradise of meaning.
